A gentle meander through two of life’s great pleasures: wine and cricket. Test Match Special has been the soundtrack to much of my adult life, so what a privilege it was to be asked to appear on View From the Boundary with Jonathan Agnew, live on Day 5 of the third Ashes Test from the place where wine and cricket meet — the Adelaide Oval.

Have a listen as we canter through my truly terrible playing career, the art of being a “great watcher”, and how the unhurried rhythms of a Test match lend themselves so naturally to the quiet joy of sipping a glass of wine.
